The following leagues are available at the Windsor Curling Club. Please contact us if you are not sure about which league is right for you!
Day League
Games start at 9:15 A.M. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
Each Monday, Wednesday and Friday teams are selected at random. Players get to choose the position they would like to play but not the sheet on which they will be playing. In the event that more than the required number of curlers shows up, some teams may be required to play with 5 members. Windsor Curling Club members are welcome to curl as often or as little as they choose.
The 2021-2022 curling season saw the introduction of a stick curling league on Tuesday afternoons. Any club member was welcome to play following stick curling rules. The plan for 2022-2023 season is to continue with a stick curling league subject to the availability of a Tuesday afternoon coordinator.
Day Curling games provides players with plenty of exercise and a great opportunity to socialize. In addition to this a social committee organizes several events throughout the year to provide curlers more opportunities to socialize. The number and nature of social events will depend partly upon Covid protocols.
Throughout the year we have several Home and Away games. For those not familiar with Home and Away games here is how they work. At some point during the curling season Windsor selects 4 teams and travel to another curling club. At another time during the season that club brings 4 teams to our club. These games give Day Curlers an opportunity to meet curlers from other clubs and to experience curling on another clubs ice. Participation in these games is entirely voluntary. Games were suspended for the last two seasons due to Covid. The plan for 2022-2023 is to continue with Home and Away games subject to the availability of a coordinator.

This league will take place Sunday mornings with draw times typically alternating between 9am and 11am. Times may vary depending on if more than one draw is needed. The purpose of this league is to have fun! It's perfect for newer or inexperienced curlers where they can continue to learn and develop in a less competitive environment. Experienced curlers are also welcome to play where they can try new positions or pass along tips to the newer curlers. We will place experienced curlers with those inexperienced curlers to help them learn and meet people. Entries can be teams, partial teams, or individuals.
