Over the past 48 hours unprecedented steps have been taken by the Federal and Nova Scotia Governments in response to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic. Your executive has reviewed the current environment and made the extremely cautious decision to close the Club for the season effectively immediately.
This proactive measure is being taken before there are any cases of COVID-19 in Nova Scotia; in the best interest of our members, guests and the public.
There will be someone at the Club this Sunday and Monday nights from 7-9 pm, to allow for members to pay their bar tabs and pick up their gear
The Special Meeting planned for next Sunday, March 22nd, is postponed. It will be rescheduled along with the AGM once the COVID-19 pandemic passes.
We understand this is not how anyone wanted the season to end, we thank you for your understanding and for a great season of curling.
The Windsor Curling Club located in Windsor, Nova Scotia, starts the curling season the first week of November.
Our learn to curl clinics are run by club volunteers who have helped many people learn the basics of curling. After one evening clinic, you will have enough information to join one of our leagues. Beginners are always welcomed! Just bring a clean pair of sneakers to wear on the ice and gloves and layers for warmth. WCC has all the other equipment you need, including sliders, brooms, and also a few optional helmets.
Please contact our membership coordinator, Phil Bourgeois for information on how to sign up, or to get a lesson from one of our volunteers at the club.
